Welcome to the Third World Congress of Business History, Toronto, July 27 - 31, 2026
Dear delegates and attendees,
The University of Toronto, the Canadian Business History Association/L’Association canadienne pour l’histoire des affaires, the Business History Society of Japan, the Business History Conference, and the European Business History Association welcome you to Toronto for WCBH3 in July!
With delegates coming from over forty countries and representing six continents, our Conference promises to be a truly global event that speaks to our theme, “Global Connections/Diverse Directions: Building Bridges Across Business Histories.” Our hosting institutions are the University of Toronto, Department of History, and the Rotman School of Management. The WCBH3 Toronto main venue will be Myhal Centre on the St. George Campus, at 55 St. George Street.
Here are some helpful items of information for your attendance and participation at the Conference.
Preliminary WCBH3 Toronto Program:
PRELIMINRY PROGRAM (App-link) WCBH2026
Please keep in mind that times and dates of sessions may still be modified. The Conference Program will be updated on a regular basis, with changes made and additional information added until the conference begins in July, including the names of session chairs and specific room locations in MyHal Centre, where all academic sessions will be held.
We will be circulating additional guidelines regarding Panels, Workshops, and Plenaries shortly. We encourage delegates to consider chairing panels, and if you are interested, please contact program2026@worldcbh.org.
Registration Information:
Please register for WCBH3 Toronto at the Eventbrite link. All figures are in CDN$.
There is an FAQ on the Eventbrite Registration page.
The Eventbrite Registration page provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions, including who qualifies as an Emerging Scholar. We also ask that once you have registered for the Conference, and are considering the Optional Events, that you are selective in your choices (in other words, avoid committing to every event) so that as many delegates as possible can attend Events. Early Bird registration ends on April 7, after which it will be the regular fee.
Special Information:
If you have requested financial assistance to facilitate your participation at the WCBH3 Toronto, we have you on our list and will be in touch shortly. Once significant confirmation and registration of delegates have occurred, we will be able to determine funding for those delegates seeking support.
If you require a VISA to attend the Conference, please make sure to reach out as soon as possible. If you have questions or concerns about your VISA application, please get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you in July!
